Astrophotography for Amateurs [SOLD OUT]

MON 13 NOV 6:30PM: This workshop will provide a basic introduction to astrophotography. Award-winning astro photographer Sara Harvey and Keith Levins from Astrophotography Club Ireland will give an overview of the requirements for astrophotography and nightscape photography. There will be a deep sky rig and a night scape rig on display, and weather permitting there will be a live demonstration with the widefield nightscape rig. A curated show of astrophotography from Cork Astronomy Club will also be on show and will form part of the weekend exhibition on the 18th and 19th.

Sara Harvey is from Cork and recently won the ‘Out of this World’ category of the DIAS Reach For the Stars astrophotography competition for her image of M51 ‘A Galactic Dance’.

Keith Levins from Dublin was also shortlisted for the ‘Back on Earth’ category for ‘The Almighty Arch’, taken on Bray Head in Kerry.
