Join in the exploration of space across all aspects of STEAM during SpaceFest 2023 as we consider the theme of what it means to be human. Festival programming for adults, teens and families merges science and the arts through creative, captivating events. Join us to open the cosmos through Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths as we celebrate and explore space with experiments, exhibitions, workshops and more!
SUN 12 NOV 1PM: Be part of the NASA GLOBE Clouds Team measuring clouds using satellites and create your own LED cloud!
SUN 12 NOV 8PM: What happens when an astrophysicist and a bartender collide? Cocktails in space! Join in on this live galactic drink crafting workshop.
MON 13 NOV 6:30PM Learn to identify and capture the cosmos from your own backyard in this hands-on workshop introducing astro photography and star gazing.
TUE 14 NOV 1PM: Presented in collaboration with Suisha Inclusive Arts, this workshop invites Cope Foundation service users to explore materials developed here on Earth and used in space.
TUE 14 NOV 6:30PM: Learn about the terrestrial applications of space technologies and work with fabrics, paints, metals, adhesives and
other materials developed for use in space.
FRI 17 NOV 6:30PM The opening of the SUPER exhibition and live performance by Dahu Collective, followed by a discussion panel with the artists-in-residence at Greywood and the NSC.
SAT 18 NOV 8:00PM The Celestials celebrate the release of their new single “Artemis” with a special gig at Greywood Arts in Killeagh.
18 + 19 NOV 11AM – 4:30PM Tour the National Space Centre and explore the work of artists-in-residence Dahu Collective alongside creations by international artists and local students.
SUN 19 Nov 6:30 PM: Join former NASA Datanaut and Miss Universe Ireland Fig O’Reilly in conversation with award winning visual artist and filmmaker Linda Curtain.

From fiction to photography and acrobatics to audio art, learn and create with a fabulous line up of atristic minds.
